Infection Control and Sterilization
Our handles and other surfaces that will be touched is wrapped by film barrier and wrappers. These will be disposed after each patient to prevent cross-contamination. Each surface is wiped with alcohol or disinfectant before placing a new wrapper.
Sterilization is the process of eliminating or killing all microbes by heating, irradiating, etc. It is also the method by which all contamination including bacteria, viruses and spores are completely destroyed.
The instruments are washed under running water to remove larger mass of dirt and then soaked in the disinfectant agent for 15 minutes in order to kill the bacteria
Then, the instruments are rinsed with water and placed in the ultrasonic cleaner
Finally, the instruments are pouched before sterilized in an autoclave

After that, the instruments are rinsed with water and placed in the ultrasonic cleaner. The ultrasonic vibration removes dirt more effectively, leaving the instruments clean and shiny.
Next, the instruments are pouched and sterilized in an autoclave leaving them 100% microbe-free.
The instruments will only be taken out when needed. Therefore, they are clean, sterilized and never exposed to the environment until they are taken out.
