Equipment

Digital Dentistry

Intraoral scanners (IOS) are devices for capturing direct optical impressions in dentistry. With the patient sited comfortably in the chair, the head of the IOS is placed into the patient’s mouth. We will then scan the upper & lower arches, and once again with the upper and lower teeth bite against each other to record the bite (occlusion). The whole process can be done within 5 minutes.

With IOS, we can directly capture all dental arch information of the patient without using conventional physical impression. That means no more needs for materials and impression trays, which is more comfortable and much preferred by patients with strong gag reflex, or children.

Miller Machine (One day crown fabrication)

Our latest equipment… the miller machine. With this unit, we can make a crown in just ONE DAY!!

After the tooth is prepared, it will be scaned to capture a 3D image of the tooth. The image will be transfer into a crown designer software where a crown will be designed by our doctors. This unit will cut out a crown from a ceramic block. Finally, the crown will be polished and checked before it is fitted into the tooth.

Digitalize Radiography Imaging: Cone Beam CT, OPG, Lateral Cephalometry and Intra-oral Radiography

Cone Beam CT

OPG

LatCept

Intra-oral Radiography

We have a separate room for radiograph taking which is insulated form x-ray exposure. Safety while handling the equipment is our main priority. Our customers are protected during x-ray exposure. Our X-ray room is equipped with digital radiography unit, namely… intra-oral x-ray unit, dental panoramic tomogram (OPG) and cephalometry x-ray unit.

Our latest unit are the Cone Bean CT (CBCT) which produces 3-dimensional images of your teeth and jaws.  All this radiography units help use to achieve accurate diagnosis and treatment plan.

Dental Laser & Electrosurgery

Laser Unit

Electrosurgery Unit

Dental laser and electrosurgery are used to managing soft tissue. Both units can be used to cut and contour the gums. Heal of the gums after dental laser or electrosurgery are proven to be faster as compared with using a scalpel blade.

Laser therapy means state-of-the-art dentistry and modern patient care all in one. Due to the number of advantages, a dental laser should now be a standard feature of a modern dental practice. It offers a tremendous advantage and flexibility in dental and cosmetic procedures.

Electrosurgery is a surgical unit involved in introducing high frequency current to a specific area of oral soft tissue in order to remove unwanted tissue, seal off blood vessels, or to create a surgical incision. This results in minimal bleeding pain during and after surgery. It is useful in gum procedures and minor oral surgeries

Nitrous Oxide Delivery System

Nitrous oxide is recognized as the safest sedative used in dentistry today. Nitrous Oxide is mixed with oxygen and inhaled through a small mask that fits over your nose to help you relax during dental treatment. It is mild, non-toxic and removes itself naturally from your body after use. It is even recommended for patients with certain medical conditions, including high blood pressure, angina and a history of heart attacks. Unlike general anaesthesia, patients on nitrous oxide will always remain fully conscious and responsive.

Semi Adjustable Articulator for Oral Rehabilitation

An articulator is a mechanical device used in dentistry to which casts of the upper and lower teeth are fixed in order to reproduce recorded positions of the mandible (lower jaw) in relation to the maxilla (upper jaw).

It is a complex articulator which almost imitates the anatomy of the TM joint (the joint of the lower jaw with the skull) and follows the movement of this condyle. Therefore, it can be used in the fabrication of complex crowns, long span bridges and full mouth rehabilitation. This articulator is also used for jaw surgery (orthognathic) planning.

By nature, this sort of articulator’s use is only meaningful if the position of the maxillae is duplicated with respect to the skull. Normally this is achieved by the use of a face-bow.

Air polishing (Dental SPA)

Scaling itself does not effectively remove staining which arises from smoking or drinking coffee or tea. With air polishing, stains can be effectively removed by blasting sodium bicarbonate, water and air to the tooth surface. A gentle jet stream removes the stains through light abrasion. Air polishing is used after scaling.

Studio Photography

Digital SLR Camera – A picture says a thousand words

A camera is an essential equipment to document findings, treatment planning as well as end results of planned treatments. It allows patients to see and compare their teeth before and after treatment. Every picture shown in this website is taken with our digital SLR camera!!

As the demand for a ‘perfect’ smile is getting more, we need patient’s profile to customize their teeth thus, we have the studio photography in our clinic to take a good portrait photo. With good picture, the teeth/smile design can be tailored according to their face!
